Tiny Deer

Hello my dears! I’ve got another wallpaper for you.

I love this quote from Neil Gaiman. Mistakes happen when you are trying something new, stretching yourself beyond the abilities that you currently have. It is a good thing to remember.

Here’s the link to the wallpaper freebies page.

Here's what's up in the studio (I’m drawing tiny deer!)

I'm super busy putting together a greeting card collection for the winter holidays. There are crows and Santas and puns and people made of snow. These images have been so fun to draw, and the process of building them up into “real illustrations” has produced results that feel really good. Even Critic Jen is mostly mollified. (IKR?)

There are an oddly enormous number of steps between saying, “I have an idea to make this” and having someone actually hold that this in their hands. Developing a workflow to make all the parts of the process flow ergonomically is a long ways off, but I have my eye on it.

I think y’all are going to really like these holiday cards. Look forward to them in Mid October.

Latest in the Etsy Shop: A Vinyl Sticker Celebrating Obsolete Tech.

The image comes from an original watercolor painting of a green vintage IBM Model C Electric Typewriter. It is a particularly lovely addition to your laptop or notebook, or any spot that needs a bit of Sticker Joy.

So that feels like an update.

Thanks for keeping tabs on my path, you very nice person who has read this.
